knee pain

i had an mri on my left knee and the dr. say i had tear cartikedge also have a baker cyst behind my knee i have to see the surginl about the now the other day at work my right knee felt like someone cut the back of my knee, and I had to be helped to walk.could this be the same problem as the other knee?
