Kinesio for growth plate injury @ 5th metatarsal

My nearly 12-year old daughter seems to be very vulnerable to growth plate injuries at the 5th metatarsal. She's had an avulsion fracture of the 5th metatarsal on her right foot, immobilized with a cast and then a boot, followed by PT. The day she was to complete PT, she injured the growth plate at the 5th metatarsal on the left foot, although the x-ray was normal. The injuries have occurred from dance & soccer. We'd like to prevent future injuries of this kind. We asked the orthopedist to show her how to tape her foot with athletic tape. Would Kinesio tape be of any value to try to prevent such injuries? Thanks!

Helps strengthen the kneecap mechanism by applying pressure on the tendon above the kneecap as well. This tends to reduce the forces of the quadriceps on the patella tendon and erosion of the under surface of the kneecap due to a possible misalignment of the quadriceps (Q-angle).
