Broken finger recovery

I fractured my middle finger on the 1st bone. The dr put a splint on it to wear for 4 to 6 weeks. He didn't say anything about follow-up. So after 4 weeks I took off the splint.

I've been trying to bend the joints now for about 2 weeks to get them back in shape. More and more I'm noticing some things that I'm not sure are normal. The more I exercise it the more it takes on a blue look. It also seems like there's a problem with the 2nd bone.

When I first broke it most of the pain was actually in the 2nd bone. I thought that might be because the end of my finger was numb. But I'm surprised that this is still where the pain is.

Is this pretty typical?
