Torn manisc from Auto accident

Hello,

I was involved in a head on back in 2004. Since I had an MRI that showed a small tear in meniscus. dash and driver side door came in on left knee and leg - large amount of buising and sweeling at time of accident. Knot on knee inside of patella.

Since I have had increased pain in knee which is agravated more and more with cold weather. Also wet and cold vs cold creates different pain. Wet and cold causes a stabing pain with in the joint under the knee cap, cold - weather or air condition - causes pain on either side of the knee.

What could be going on?

I have enetiated tx with pcp a month ago. Doing rx therapy for that month. Some releife, but still suffer with issues. Popping every day know with some catching. Some instability with going up and down stairs.

PCP f/u in a week. Possible PT. But will this get better or will worsen with time?

Thanks
