Exercise / Stretches for Lower Back Injury

I have a spinal fusion from T12-L4 with some rods etc. since 1998. I have been working out at a gym since to keep strong. Recently I am pulling muscles in my lower back during stretching routine. I believe it is my gluts. Any recommendation on a stretching routine and excercises to strengthen this area.
