Gurgling/Squish in knee after arthroscopy

I had a knee scope (meniscus repair and arthritis clean up) on Thrursday (4 days post op today) and felt EXCELLENT the day of surgery. Post op day one the knee was minimally swollen and I had minimal issues with weight bearing. The primary concern I have is with a VERY audible squishing inside the knee during ROM. Both flexion and extension. Very troubling. On the second night I had HORRIBLE pain - 9/10 from 2am to 8am. Vicodin wouldn't touch it. It came back this morning from 7 to 9. I have high pain tolerance, and this is truly 8/10 or greater. Not positional, and not brought on by any movement.

If you only want to answer one question, please chime in on the SQUISH. VERY troubling.
(fyi: no s/s of infection as far as i can see)
