Grinding and Poping in my knee

I am a synchronized skater, 18 years old and I have had different problems with my knees. I have minorly dislocated my left knee and my right knee I dislocated it but after it dislocated it went right back into place. So yeah I have had alot of knee problems. I have had a grinding/crunching feeling in my left knee and when I go up and down stairs it makes a popping sound. I have felt that for about two years and it has bothered me since. Is this normal? or am I just bothering to much about it?
