Distal Bicep Tear

I recently had surgery on a distal tear of my bicep, I had an incident where I inadvertently flexed the injured bicep, and I felt what could basically be described as a bowstring tension type feeling as though something let go. What I'm looking for is any knowledge as to whether there is any way to repair a "repair" It was entirely an accident and I'm very concerned that I may have screwed up the only chance I can be given to have a normal functional life again.
