low back/hip muscle question

I'm having a problem with a tight muscle, and can't figure out what muscle it is so I can properly stretch it. The muscle is about 6 inches from my lowest vertabrae on my spinal cord....then down a couple of inches. It feels like its part of my sensoredocks, hips, and lower back but i can't find what muscle it is and how to stretch it.
Thanks for the help.

Helps strengthen the kneecap mechanism by applying pressure on the tendon above the kneecap as well. This tends to reduce the forces of the quadriceps on the patella tendon and erosion of the under surface of the kneecap due to a possible misalignment of the quadriceps (Q-angle).
