fibula fracture

My daughter (11 year old) fractured her left fibula bone at the ankle (clean fracture - no surgery or ligament problems) she had been in a cast for 2 weeks and is now in a walking cast for 2 more weeks. Will she need rehabilitaion after the walking cast or is she able to get back to her activities with a brace like the ortho is going to recommend. Some people have stated it's going to be months of rehabilitation, but who says they are doctors. Also what is the best brace to use for her when she gets back to her sports activities (softball & basketball). And do you recommend for her to wear braces on both ankles because she will be wearing the left one permanently for active playing. Thanks for your time.

Silicone inserts leave radius and ulna pressure-free and provide intermittent compression to the soft tissue of the joint, leading to increased circulation, thus aiding in the resorption of swelling and edema.
