Torn Archilles Tendon & Torn Calf Muscle

I have had a 2cm x 5cm x 12 cm tear in my gastrocnemius muscle , suspect for tear of the medial head of the gastrocnemius muscle since October 13th when I feel and told them at the hopsital it felt like a knive sticking in my leg and thena tear or pop. Nothing was done until 1 Sept. 07 when I convinced my dr. to do an MRI of my calf. Now the orthopaedic dr. says there is no way to repair it? Can that be true?

Helps strengthen the kneecap mechanism by applying pressure on the tendon above the kneecap as well. This tends to reduce the forces of the quadriceps on the patella tendon and erosion of the under surface of the kneecap due to a possible misalignment of the quadriceps (Q-angle).
