Shoulder problems


I sometimes get aching and pain in my left shoulder. This started happening about 15 years ago and was diagnosed as bursitis. I to meds and went to PT and this seemed to fix it. I sometimes get flareups but as long as I do my shoulder exercises, I'm usually able to keep it at bay. This is until recently where I have bad aching and pain in my shoulder. My doctor prescribed me prednisone for it and I just started it 5 days ago. It's been quite a few years since I have done any PT program. So I'm wondering the following

1) How long before I start doing my shoulder exercises? I guess I'm wondering if I should wait till the aching goes away?

2) How often do I do them?
