phys. therapy for broken kneecap?

I was wondering about physical therapy for a broken kneecap. It has been 5 wks. since the accident-direct fall on kneecap. Clean fractures, no surgery needed. I have worn a thigh-ankle cast and am learning to walk without it. My leg is stiff and doesn't want to bend to sit down, etc. Any suggestions?

Designed to help provide good posture. Pull through strap construction offers more support and allows desired strap adjustment.
