quad muscle

I was playing soccer and i sprinted to a ball. ( This was my first scrimmage) and both my quads suddenly had pain. I couldn't sprint after that during the rest of the game. I played on it the next day and felt a really sharp pain after going for a ball. It hurt even while i was stading. It is still sore, but i want to keep playing what should i do to increase recovery time?
