Pelvic / core muscle - need stretches

Hi - my lower (right-ish) adbomen around my pelvis has been giving me trouble for about a year now. If I do a jacknife-crunch then I can only do a few before the pain gets too much, and lately even just doing a sit-up has been giving me trouble. The muscle seems to be very hard to stretch - I can find an angle to move my leg or body to stretch it as I would do if some other were experiencing this kind of pain. Any thoughts about stretches?
