Ultrasound on children

I know one of the contraindication of therapeutic ultrasound is not to do it on growth plates of children. We have not done Ultrasound on children at our clinic at all. But i was wondering if we can do it on children with back pain.....since the posterior ribs are flat bones with no growth plates. it makes sense that we can do it there. Can u enlighten me?
