Hip soreness

My left hip stays sore and stiff all the time. Not really painful just annoying. I believe it might be a spur. Over the years it has gotten worse. Walking is uncomfortable and I have a slight limp. I believe it has come from years of my delivery job. I deliver newspapers and sit in middle of the seat and have to stretch my left leg alot in order to reach thru the passenger window. Advil doesn't do anything. Of course I do not want surgery. Isn't that bad yet. Any suggestions?
