Building arm muscle for a runner

hi im a 17 year old male and im looking to build more arm muscle, not to a huge degree but to get more toned up, the only problem is i am an avid long distance runner and i run both cross country and track for my high school varsity team

i do lift weights often but i really see no major improvements is there any good way to tone up but not sacrifice my running?
