Help!!!! Upper back pain/soreness

I do a lot of model airplane work and therefore my head tilts forward about 30-45 degrees for long periods of time when working at my desk. I notice my upper back becomes sore, specificically my rhomboids and trapezius muscles about 1 inch on both sides of my upper spine. Is this due to weak back muscles? Could I do exercises like reverse neck curls laying on my stomach with light weights on the back of my head. Any other good exercises?
