TMR - Does it really work?

Does Total Motion Release really work, or is it just a way for the originator (and those who take the training) to make money? My pain management PT wants me to try it, but another Kaiser PT I talked to has reservations. I've been looking for quality, peer-review scientific papers on TMR, but have found no objective third-pary research. I want evidence not anecdotes. Thanks for any help.
