Hip pain

About 2 months ago I started getting sharp pains in my hip when I was running on the treadmill. From that point every time I put weight on my leg I got a sharp pain. After about a week I took a few day off running and it felt 100% better. The next time I ran it started again. The more days I ran the worse it got. It also bothers me if I sit on it in a way to add pressure to the spot. I took almost two weeks off of running and it was feeling great, no more pain. Then the first time I was jogging (slowly) with my dog the pain started within a block. Running makes it worse but just putting weight on it causes the pain. I know it's not muscle because I can lift, rotate, move my leg in any way with no pain, only when I put pressure on the hip.
