Foot fracture

I have been in an air boot for four weeks for a fractured fifth metatarsal. Now, my good foot is starting to hurt around the base of the fifth metatarsal, I'm sure it hurts because of all the extra pressure. I'm trying to decide if I should go back to my doctor and have him x-ray my good foot or if I should wait and tell him about it when I return in two weeks for the follow up on my broken foot.
