forearm/wrist

I work a production job and do a great deal of repetetive work. my forearm is swollen and tender and sort of makes a noise like a spring cushin if that makes any sense the doctor says its my tentons, For fear of being laid of(work is very slow)i've been working w/ it.Please recomend a cheap and effective home rememdy for this.I've been on short time and not able to go to theropy nor be out of work.
