External Fixator

I was hit by car on my bicycle 11 months ago. I had a pretty severe tib/fib fracture and after 4 surgeries, I am now in an external fixator. I have been in this fun contraption for 2 months and will likely look at 4 to 6 more months.

I was a marathon runner previous to this accident and am going slightly insane with the lack of information I've been given as far as exercising. I need exercises before amputation becomes a possibility. I need to keep my leg.

The Achillotrain has a viscoelastic heel-wedge to raise the heel for relief of Achilles tendon. A silicone insert on the back of the Achillotrain leaves tendon pressure-free and provides intermittent compression for the reduction of swelling and edema.
