Re: broken ankle

With a fracture you want to stabalize it....thus the air cast. It is the first thing we professionals prescribe to support the joint and prevent further damamge. If you can't fit into the shoes you have now go to Kmart or Payless and get a bigger and wider shoe that will fit for now. Elevate and ice for pain and edema control.
