i am going through a similar thing at the moment with my back injury which has lasted 18 months so far, i think you yourself will be aware that the pt is not working so why go back just because the Orthopedic says so.............since stopping PT i am feeling much better because all they was doing was the same things for months with no results, so i decided to take it on on my own, i have recently been having lots of deep tissue massage which has been a great help......but don't give up there has to be a way to solve your back problems, i have also been told recently that you can have injections called nerve blockers injected into your back under a x-ray procedure which may be of help. good luck and let me know how you get on
