Bicepts Tendon

I'm a recreational power lifter and have a partial bicept tendon tear. Is surgery a must or is this something I can live with? Will I be able to continue power lifting or is it all over? Or, if I have surgery will I be able to make a "comeback" with regards to power lifting? Do you know of any doctors that are experienced with this type of injury?
