physical therapy

I have a broken tibia in a fall to the right side of the knee. I am in my mid fifties. It has been hard.
I currently have a list of motion exercises to strengthen the muscles and stretch the knee. the exercises are quadricep lifts, knee bend to chest, side lateral leg lift. The knee is inflexible and in moderate to high pain.

It has been one month. My three sessions have been disappointing since the therapist can not pay attention to me while there are so many others he is attending. My doctor says about 3 months to walk normally. My rehabilitation has been slow-so my husband and I will work together on the exercises at home. I had the same meniscus tear operation on the same leg months ago, which may have contributed to the fall and weakness to stand.

I need to walk! I want to walk!
Questions:
When may I start working on a cycle to stretch the knee?. Are there other exercises you recommend? Could you list all that are do to accomplish final rehabilitation?

thank you,
vincentandgloria
