CLAVICLE...BROKEN...

My clavicle is broken only 1cm from where it joins to scapula, This happend from a road bike accident. Its been 5 weeks & I revisited the Doctors for follow up & xrays show that it is still broken. Ive had my arm in a sling for 4 weeks, day & night.
Other doctors have told me that it may never heal due to its location & recommend surgery sooner than later.
Any advise would be helpful.
