Re: liz frank fracture - a six month affair!

I tore my liz Frank ligament COMPLETELY my senior year of highschool while playing basketball in Gym class. My foot immediately swelled to the size of a soft ball (and I'm a small girl) and luckily the physician had an idea of what was wrong. I went the next day to orthopedic surgeon. They put me in a cast, scheduled a surgery and I now have three screws in my foot. :-) I was on crutches and non-weight bearing for about four months. Then I was in a walking cast. But being young I bounced back pretty quickly.

Definitely not something I look forward to doing again anytime soon!
