Clavical seperation from sternum

I seperated my clavical from my sternum spotting my daughter in gymnastics.Had it diagnised at well known ortho clinic (Panorama in Denver area. Constant neck pain is associated with this type of injury. They indicated no surgical means of repair due to risk with lungs.Physical therapy has relieved neck pain minimally. Are there any other options such as weight training excercises? This has gone on for almost three years and can be painful. Any suggestions would help. Thanks.
