:So...what IS wrong with your shoulder? Usually "knots" in muscles is muscle tension or spasms. And yes, pushing on or massaging can help reduce the tension. Have you tried any heat? Your having pain in your neck down to your shoulder...are you sure it's not your neck giving you all the trouble?
