Re: Toenail removal re: fungus

Hi, I am inquiring about why the toe hurts for so long after the removal of a toenail. I had one removed 3 weeks ago and is still very painful. I feel my podiatrist and I made the right decision to remove it due to fungus. I was put on a course of prednisone for my asthma a week after I had the toenail removed. Could this be making my toe hurt so much and will I ever be able to wear shoes again? Currently, I keep a bandaid on the toe and wear socks when I wear sandals. Barbara

Lined with soft fabric on both sides, this ~2mm thick SiliposŪ proprietary gel pad is an excellent cushion to help relieve the burning sensation and discomfort of the five metatarsal heads of the foot (the ball-of-foot) by protecting the ball of foot from repeated friction and abrasion with the shoes.
