Jones fracture post surgery numbness and swelling

I was diagnosed with a Jones fracture 8 weeks ago and had immediate surgery by my podiatrist. He had to put an anchor in place instead of screws and pins.
I was in a non wait bearing cast for 6 weeks.
After 5 weeks in the cast, I had a slight fall off the crutches which forced me to fall forward full force on my toes which were sticking out of the cast.
Immediately after the fall, I experienced non-stop tingling vibrating down the side of the surgery scar.
I am now in a walking boot, the tingling has calmed down but I am experiencing major numbness and the foot and all toes are still swelling.
Do you think I did major damage with my fall?
How much longer should I wait to see if my foot will feel normal again
I am starting to regret my surgery decision
Thanks for any advice.
Sandra.
