Re: Freibergs Disease |
|
I was diagnosed with Freibergs at the age of 37,and since that time I have been in plaster twice. My consultant told me that surgery was rarely sucsesful, and recommended that i wear shoe insoles that were specially made for me at my local hospital.I find these help to a degree,I only have the occasional bout of pain now.In saying that I do not walk the distances I used too. What I have found is that I am plauged with other joint pain.I have now got atheritis in my hands and my elbows and shoulders are extremly painful. I suffer from strange swellings to my ankles and knees. Before I was diagnosed with freibergs I suffered a severe back injury while performing a simple task, the consultant who treated me thought I had been in a car crash. He said I must suffer from a muscular disfunction, but this was never followed up even though I have now got what is called a black disc in my lower spine. All this has occurred in the last five years,so I am either very unlucky or as I belive these things are all related. |
