Don't think you are crazy. Get the capsazin cream (not sure of spelling - it is for arthritis - it is the ingredient in red chili peppers). IT will deaden the nerve endings and give you the relief you are seeking. I have been symptom free now for 8 months after a whirl wind of 7 years of crying and sleepless nights. I don't know why the cream works, I just know it does. Very rarely, do I still need an ice pack - but I am not on any allergy meds anymore and no more shots.
