What a relief to know that I am not alone with all of my itching. I did have extreme sun exposure this summer and had a beautiful dark tan but with what price? I noticed that when my tan started to fade, my itching started. I thought I had pinpointed it to when I started on BetaCarotene about month ago, so I stopped taking it. I did notice relief the next day which lasted for 2 days but now I'm right back where I started. I've always had neck problems and did see a Chiropractor years ago. I'll probably have to start back up now. I did notice that some of you (or most) mentioned stress, hormones (I'm going thru menopause and have horrible hot flashes too), neck problems, sun exposure which I've had all of the above, so there must be a connection. I can't believe that if doctors can say what they think it is, then why on earth haven't we a cure yet? This itch is driving me crazy and sometimes it's very very embarrasing when I'm at work. I'll start to itch the area and then notice welts under the skin and then finally one small welt that erupts and I itch it until it bleeds and that'll be it for a while. I'm getting scars on my arms. I had noticed that cold feels good on the area, but my cure is to run the water as hot as I can stand it and put my arm under it to burn it. I burn it about 3 times in a row and the itch stops for hours. I hope I've helped someone else get some relief. If anybody else has any remedies, I'd love to hear them. thanks for listening.
