My itching arms are horrific. Keep my up nights. I can watch the red bumps appear and the prickly sensation starts under the skin, then the intense severe itching that makes me wish I was dead, because NOTHING stops it. I have tried every cream, prescribed and over the counter, oral medications, EVERYTHING. The only thing that relieves it a little is rubbing ice on my forearms. I also have small round eraser-size bruises appear up and down my arms when the really bad episodes occur. It is so intense right now I can barely type. I can't take much more. Please help if anyone can. I just keep getting the same ezcema, dermatitis, blah, blah and the medicine given doesn't help. One theory I have is that when I had surgery 5 years back and was given constant potassium IV's, my veins in both arms broke down. Had to do cutdowns in my feet and shoulder. Could this be a long term problem...the vein break down?
