dear mam,

My friend is suffering from severe pain in the lower neck i.e in the c6 vertebre....and the pain extends to the shoulder bone part, left hand till fingers end. when gone for MRI some doctors suggested for surgery, some for physiotherapy, and some for radiation therapy. His age is 27 years. His parents are worried about his surgery at this age.Is it necessary to under go surgery or if ignored will it lead to any chronic conditions or just a physiotherapy will do?

Please let me in detail.
sincerely,
roseline.
