Hi, i have a similar pain in my left leg when driving etc. The pain orriginated from when i strined my back through heavy lifting. I have spoken to a friend who is a physio. She says that it is most likely a slipped disc that has effected the syatic nerve. In 90% of cases it clears itself up in 4-6 weeks but if you've had it longer you may need to see your GP and go for a scan.
good luck
