Well, I guess I'm not crazy after all....I thought I was the ONLY one with this bizarre condition. I've had this upper arm (mainly) INTENSE itching for about 6 years now. Mainly it's at night too. I've scratched holes into my skin from scratching so much and now I have a few scars to prove it. Sometimes I think I would rather feel actual pain than this horrible itching. I feel almost like the itching goes all the way to the bones. The ONLY thing that helps me is Sudafed. It takes about an hour to 'kick in' but it really does help!
