I too am experiencing intense itching on my arms, upper mostly, which worsens at night, making no sense whatsoever. Antihistimines do not work, nor do any topical ointments which actually seem to make it itch more as though the skin cannot breathe. It also seems to be preceeded by a prickling sensation under the skin and then the itching begins. The only thing that seems to help is to use cold bottled water on a cotton cloth and then rub it over the affected area, however this relief does not last long. I fortunately enjoy seemingly good health except for this annoyance, which began about a year ago and does appear to be easing up. Any insight would be most appreciated and I feel for you both. Here's to a good night's rest!
