painful wrists, new bed, pain worse

I have been trying to solve problems with pain in my wrists. I will be seeing a neurologist soon to see if it is carpal tunnel/tendonitis etc. It wasn't horrible but within a week it got worse. Then I got a comphorpedic mattress from my brother that is about 5 years old. Everything got worse. Now my ankles/legs/knees are in pain, and my wrists are worse. I feel like I've been hit by a truck in the morning as my whole body aches. It has been a week since the new bed and my back does not hurt as bad but my limbs are still stiff and painful. Both my thumbs go numb several times a day. Do you think get my back adjusted on a regular basis will help solve some of these issues as it may just be misalignment or pinched nerves? Thanks!
