pinched nerve and bloodpressure?

Ok this is a crazy question, but Im a powerlifter and probably in the last 4 yrs I developed tingling in my arms when positioned in certain ways. My pinky index finger and part of my forearm go numb. I also in the last two to four years developed hypertension which Im treating now with meds and exercise but when I take my BP in certain arm positions it fluctuates alot. Could that be associated with somekind of nerve damage?
