Both posterior and anterior tilt?

I've had back issues for a large portion of my life. Some of my spine has been out of alignment between my shoulders since I was 12 (about 16 years) which causes ropey tension in my left shoulder and upper back pain. After my last pregnancy I had pain inbetween my left hip and spine. I recently started seeing a chiropractor and he said one side of my pelvis is posterior and the other is anterior. How is that possible?
