I've been having generalized lower back pain for a few days after sitting in a slumped position (as far as I can tell, this is what caused it).The pain has been pretty severe at times, and more localized during certain movements:
-a sit-up (with knees flexed). bringing the shoulders off the ground does not hurt, only when it comes to lifting the lower back off the ground
-a hamstring stretch while supine. This localizes the pain to ~1.5 inches laterally of L4 to L5. This is strange because the origin of the various hamstrings is on the ischial tuberosity, which is significantly inferior to where the pain is.
What is your opinion on the specific muscle/connective tissue involved?
Thanks!
