Alignment problems after clavicle fracture healing?

Hi. I was wondering if you have seen many cases where the patient has fractured their clavicle (collarbone), and the way it heals has caused any other alignment issues? If so, what do you often see, from people who've (a) only used a sling or (b) had a rod inserted longways into the clavicle to restore its original position and prevent the shortening of the collarbone as the fractured segments heal?
