Good news/Bad news
The bad news is that a broken or more likely a fine crock in the rib can cause significant pain The pain will gradually increase and there is not much you can do to help it heal, other that avoiding this that aggregated.
The good news is that if it is a creaked rib is usually not serious and will heal fine. It will be wise to x-Ray the area to make sure that your pain is not due to something else.
