Cracked rib from adjustment?

I've been under the care of a Chiropractor and massage therapist 3+weeks, treating my back and my upper neck due to a tree falling on my car from above (my head was completely turned, looking over my right shoulder at the time of the impact). I have been helped IMMENSELY by these treatments. My adjustments have been somewhat difficult - but they are really helping. After an adjustment late last week, I noticed a "Hitch" of pain at the top of my ribcage on the right side. Today I was doing a lot of bending and picking small items up off the carpet, and wow - I now think that this "hitch" could be a cracked rib. Sleeping does not bother me, nor does normal breathing, but bending... THAT hurts. How should I handle this with my Chiro? I mentioned the "hitch" at my appt Monday, I have a Massage/Adjustment scheduled for Friday. Should I ask for an x-ray? Any help is appreciated.
