Terrible back pain, ribs popping out

I recently seen a physical therapist for my back pain and what he told me was that my upper spine is curved making me lean forward, and that this was causing my vertibrates to spread far enough apart that the ribs on my right side of my back or popping in and out. the pain is terrible and I can't seem to find any help. Is there anything that can be done to correct the problem?
